If you purchase SharePoint Online or Lync Online on their own, you will not get the "Outlook like" functionality you refer to above, those are provided by Exchange Online (note: SharePoint Online does come with the ability to create calendar lists withinĪ SharePoint site, but they do not function the same, even when connected to via Outlook, as an Exchange calendar does in Outlook). In addition to purchasing the entire suite of products in Office 365 via subscription, you can also opt to subscribe to the individual services within the suite a la carte, meaning that you can buy Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, or Lync Online by themselvesįor a price lower than the full price of the entire Office 365 suite. Some plans also include the Office 2010 Professional Plus productivity suite for client workstations.
